Gene was in Faneuil Hall celebrating a friends Birthday party on Friday, February 21, 2010. He returned to the Marriott Long Wharf Hotel, where he was staying with friends, around midnight. He went for a walk shortly after with a close friend to catch some air and pick up cards at the local 7-eleven. They were seen on security cameras returning to the hotel at 1:15am. After playing cards back at the hotel room, his friend left at 2:10am to catch a cab back to his apartment.

At the time Gene was in good spirits and it didn't appear that there was anything out of the ordinary.

At 2:24am, Losik was seen on cameras exiting the hotel's back entrance in a gray t-shirt, blue jeans, and black dress shoes, presumably to smoke a cigarette, and hasn't been seen since.

Gene was last seen at the point marked on the map below, on camera, heading north out of the Hotel exit, into the park.
